Prompsit was born doing R&D inside the group Transducens at the Department of Software and Computing Systems of the Universitat d’ Alacant. Our interest in research and development has been kept alive in the day to day work of the company, and through involvement in various projects such as:
Year 2009
- Participation in the Google Summer of Code programme, which funded nine students in the Apertium project. Prompsit engineering Sergio Ortiz Rojas mentored Raphaël Laurent from ENSIMAG in France to Java port of lttoolbox.
Year 2008
- Project Europentrad 2008 (final part), “Open-Source Advanced Machine Translation for the European integration of the languages of Spain”, funded through an AVANZA grant by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce of Spain.
