What is Prompsit?
Prompsit Language Engineering is based on two basic concepts: machine translation and open-source software. Prompsit offers machine-translation services to streamline and customise the translation processes of institutions, enterprises and individuals. Prompsit is committed to the development open-source products with the objective of sharing computational and linguistic resources and making them useful to the user community.

Prompsit technology
We provide our customers with machine translation technologies which are open-source and modular, what makes them naturally adaptable to a wide variety of purposes. Prompsit adheres to standards both when developing machine translation engine components and when encoding the linguistic data for available language pairs. Prompsit translators are fast and offer a good translation quality, which improves constantly as a result of our commitment to continuous maintenance.
Who are we?
The founding members of Prompsit come from the Transducens research group in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems of the University of Alacant.
This group developed the machine translation systems interNOSTRUM (Spanish–Catalan), and Traductor Universia (Spanish–Portuguese), as well as the open-source machine translation systems in the OpenTrad platform (Spanish–Catalan, Spanish–Galician, Spanish–Basque).
