Meeting Client s Needs
The Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission, opened a public bidding process with the aim of widening the availability of Apertium platform resources as well as to award the contract for the organisation of a workshop on Apertium for the translators from the Commission.
Prompsit offered, as part of its bid, a proposal for the development of bilingual lists based on parallelisation of texts, automatic extraction of vocabulary. We also proposed the participation of experts from the academic world, business community and Apertium developers in the workshop. This bid was the winning proposal.

As a result, a number of very useful linguistic resources for the development of Apertium and other machine translators were published.
